In this video and blog learn stories of real-life spiritual awakening experiences in dreams. Discover the ancient practice of dream walking and when it is used. Learn the seven different areas and systems that are influenced and changed by a spiritual awakening experiences and about mild, moderate, and extreme, subtle and less subtle experiences through dreams that also contribute to these changes.
Spontaneous Spiritual Awakening Experiences
During the times we are navigating through our lives many people have a spontaneous spiritual awakening experience which can occur through what we call a nighttime dream or spontaneous experience. In this video I discuss why nighttime dreams are often times when people have these experiences.
What we are seeking in our lives is insight and often direction and purpose for a meaningful life. Our nighttime dreams can be vibrant ways in which the spirit world and our Guidance system through insights or waking up with a solution, meeting someone who has passed that is conveying significant content. Our spiritual awakening experiences can be humorous and powerful. They often engage different sensory levels including knowing and seeing. Seeing is a memory of the experience that is recalled. Other senses include touch, which is feeling something, experiencing movement, auditory and hearing. There can be expanded experiences beyond what we are able to do in ordinary consciousness as well. And all of these sensory experiences often are reported to feel more real, vivid, and dynamic than ordinary consciousness.
Dream Walking
These kinds of dreams of spiritual awakening are pre-planned experiences that allow us to gently and easily open to the possibilities of greater knowing. More on this later. The greater knowing is part of the transformation of content that is continuing to expand who we are and what we are capable of. Consider that spiritual awakening content through dreams is revealing there are different methods of time, methods of communication, life after death, communication from Guidance expanding our capabilities of problem solving beyond the scope of what is in our everyday exposure and knowledge base.
Spiritual Awakening Dreams
Spiritual awakening experiences that occur when dreaming often are what is called Dream Walking. Dream Walking is intentionally entering the dream of another person. I learned about dream walking when I was studying dreams on the Yaqui reservation, in SW Tucson, Arizona with the wife of the Yaqui Medicine man who was also known as a Cherokee shaman. Dream walking is not lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is waking up inside of a dream and knowing you are dreaming. Dream walking is planning to enter the dream of a specific individual in advance for a specific purpose. In benevolent applications dream walking is done by a spiritual teacher who is working with a student, or a group of students to convey symbols, messages, inspiration, and guidance. This is an ancient practice and not limited to people on any continent but known across different traditions from across the world. While some people remember these dream walking experiences with a spiritual teacher others do not have memory but still have received the guidance. They may remember snippets over time or gain full memory when their dream occurs.
Spiritual Awakening Dream Walking Experience
Here are a few examples of these experiences.
Jena’s Dream Walking Dream
A psychiatric medical doctor, ‘Jena’, who was not into spiritual awakening experiences was married to a medical doctor who was also an alcoholic. She had given him an ultimatum to stop drinking because she was going to divorce him. He died not long afterwards. Certainly, there were different emotions with his passing and the circumstances with their relationship. A year had not passed since he died. One day she sat in her chair in her living room to rest for a moment. She heard someone come down the hallway and realized it was her husband. She got up to greet him because she was very happy, and they hugged and exchanged a deep connection. She felt his body in her arms, smelled his odor and heard his voice. Then his cell phone went off and he said he had to go. Or she knew he had to go because it was thought transference or telepathy. She then woke up from a ‘dream.’ She remembered she felt herself get out of the chair and walk across the room and could not believe she had been dreaming because of all the different senses of sound, touch, sight, which were involved. And the most important feeling was the comfort that he was not only all right but good. This became a spiritual awakening experience because of the many layers. This was a timed sequence of events that told her there is life after death communication, she was completely aware, and it was strategically planned for her in time.
Essentially we are being guided to understand time is not as confined or restrictive as we have been experiencing perceiving it and living it. There is life after death. We can communicate with other beings as we access different states of consciousness. If Jenna would have had the same experience in waking consciousness she would have identified it as a hallucination as most people because we are not accustomed to accepting these interactions for most people in ordinary consciousness. Another significant component of this experience is the pre-planning because this was not a random event, it was strategic. Our dream state is a dimension of consciousness where it is safe for us to experience spiritual awakenings. However, we have to remember our dreams and we also have to value our dreams’ meanings. What else happens in our dream states of consciousness? We can connect to our guidance system with others and that gives us ‘aha’s as whispers of direction, and sometimes these are louder than whispers.
Pilar’s Dream Walking Experience
In the following dream there are many layers and messages that contribute to spiritual transformation. Pilar had a child who was 12 years old and had cerebral palsy and was in a wheelchair. She was in the process of making some significant decisions about her son on her own because her ex-husband was deceased and had been for over 10 years. Pilar dreamed she was in her bed sleeping and her ex-husband sat on the end of her bed. She felt the bed go down and heard the sound as well. Her ex-husband communicated to her about their son and that she was on the right track about her decisions. He was sharing his concern and support for her, which was all done through thought transference also thought of as telepathy. Pilar was not communicating questions but receiving information that she was concerned about. When she woke up she realized that she had been asleep but thought she had completely woken in the dream intentionally meeting with her ex-husband. This dream also tells us of communication as a dream walking experience strategically at a time when the connection was important and meaningful.
Coyote Dream Walking
The following dream I had occurred when I was studying with the Cherokee Shaman and wife of the Yaqui Medicine Man on the Yaqui reservations. An important piece to know before you read the dream is I never met the Yaqui Medicine Man. We had a weekly dream circle where we shared our dreams. Each person would have their turn and when it was my turn the energy completely changed and was 100% focused on me and my dream. I shared I had met with a group of people, 4 women and one man for a ceremony and when I was waking up from that dream at my back gate there was a coyote who howled three times. The Cherokee Shaman explained that she was very pleased to hear this dream because her husband had been very ill for quite a while. That her husband was a shape shifter, and his animal was a coyote, and he had traveled to see me. At the time I had no idea of the implications of what that meant but learned about it in detail much later. As a dream walking experience it shows yet another layer to dream walking and abilities.
Another Dream Walking Example
Another example of dream walking can occur as we are falling asleep which is a time when our consciousness is receptive to these occurrences as well as after we have fallen asleep for a long time.
It was later at night and Elleni had been reading for a while when she began to smell an odor of strong roses. She knew this scent was connected to being in the presence of a highly evolved being and she felt the change of the energy in the room. There was a feeling of expectation, like the air was charged with a presence and then she realized she was experiencing an interaction with a being who is called a master.
The term dream walking describes the first and third dream mentioned above. The characteristics of dream walking are there is purposefulness, it is strategically planned in time. Practices that help to remember dreams also helps to build memory.
How spiritual awakening dreams are like all spiritual awakening experiences~
The Seven Areas of Our Being Effected by Spiritual Awakening Experiences
The following seven areas are changed when a person has a spiritual awakening experience whether in a dream state or waking state. These areas are effected at different levels depending if the experience is mild, moderate or extreme. Also micro-adjustments occur over time to the different areas when there are consistent spiritual awakening experiences over years, decades, and a lifetime.
Electromagnetic-The whole body’s electromagnetic field is a subtle yet vital aspect of human physiology, generated by the collective activity of cells throughout the body. Every cell in the human body contributes to this electromagnetic field through the process of maintaining and utilizing electrical charges across their membranes. This process is essential for cellular functions such as nutrient transport, waste removal, and communication between cells. The field is always in flux, responding to the ongoing processes within each cell and the intricate communication networks that keep the body functioning as a cohesive whole.
In consideration of the sensitivity of this system and the microsystems of each cell’s electrical charge there are changes when we are exposed to experiences that are transformative also effective this system. In nighttime dream states experiences of spiritual awakening are generally not effecting the elector magnetic field. However there often are incremental changes that are occurring when a person is on a decided spiritual awakening journey and is intending to engage in practices that grow their progress. Then it is the same in the dreaming, experiences incrementally affect changes in the electromagnetic field that are not significant to notice. In some instances changes in the entire electromagnetic field are significant and cause interference when engaging with electrical devices.
Neurological-When we are exposed to spiritual awakening experiences over time they can change our neurological system which is also connected to the electromagnetic charges of each system. There is no disruption of the physical body functioning and there is no illness or disease but there are changes in interacting with electrical devices.
This happened to me for about six-eight months. I had been experiencing different spiritual awakenings and my energy system was reactive with electrical devices that caused them to blow up. When I would touch a small appliance they would permanently die. When I would switch on the lights with my hands all the bulbs would blow up. I had an office where there were 10 can lights in the ceiling and they would all blow up and have to be replaced. Fortunately, this did not last. And that is because I had learned methods to integrate my energy so it could re-harmonize and not disturb electrical objects. I was not happy about blowing stuff up because it was inconvenient and expensive. A fictional movie that I recommend that demonstrates this type of phenomenon is Powder.
Sensory-When these experiences are occurring our five senses are expanded and we are developing and expanding into advanced sensory systems that connect to different levels of knowing, intuition, perspectives, problem-solving, and sensitivities. There are over 55 kinds of intuition, and these different areas can be enhanced and expanded when we experience and know beyond the current paradigm.
Sensitivity-As a component of our sensory system means heightened experience when encountering places, people, relationships, foods, can all change because our level of sensitivity has changed. Sensitivity to fields of energy as well as sounds, and what was once unseen can also occur. A heightened sensitivity to go to specific locations may also occur or a need for reclusiveness.
Memory-spiritual awakening experiences imprint into our memory often more vividly because of the intense and heightened nature of the experience. We remember details and the details and the whole experience changes our understanding of the Multiverse, human beings, the interfacing systems, other beings, communication capabilities, our desire to live in harmony and live to our potential and assist in changing the world.
Other ways memory is changed is unfolding. Unfolding means more content expands in awareness over time, which can be months, years, or decades. Other examples of expanding memory are learning or knowing more about areas. I heard one person describe this as having information dripped to her over time.
Intentionality– Another area that develops is Intentions, the ability to formulate intention, to live intentionally, to utilize intentions, and also to know how to allow intentions to unfold is another component. And because We are opening to our capabilities, our problem solving, we are expanding our capabilities as a whole and furthering our resilience abilities.
Overlaps-Using practices and developing spiritual awakening experiences overlaps from and into waking consciousness, dream states, meditation and accessing alpha brain waves and deeper which includes falling asleep and waking from sleep as well as using methods like Intense Musical Experiences that transform our consciousness. These heightening experiences are inclusive in all areas and are not compartmentalizeable. This is why often, there can be radical changes in direction when a person has a profound or extreme spiritual awakening experience.
Specific practices that develop our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual components strengthen our system for understanding, developing, and integrating our spiritual awakening experiences. These practices heighten our awareness and strengthen our ability to navigate and expand our capabilities. Previously and without practices there can be discombobulating in our different systems causing disruption, difficulty with understanding, lack of ability to integrate and make sense. When there is lack of skills and methods for integration there can be managing energy in different ways and disruptions to stabilization depending on the history, support system, self-care, and mental, physical and emotional wellness.
When we consciously have practices that contribute to our spiritually awakening experiences they help us make sense of and integrate the different layers of an experience.
Working with Dream Walking as a System of Spiritual Awakening
Consider dream walking is a method that is used by those who have passed, and others who we cannot work with in waking consciousness. We can also work with dream walking. Dream walking can be used for accessing symbolic locations that are not on Earth or sacred locations as well to cultivate advanced practices, to use expanded abilities, glean vital content and integrate for healing, expanding knowing, resolution to issues, and other areas.
Other areas where I have used Dream Walking is in groups where we travel to the same location and glean memory from that experience, traveling to ancient sites to perceive beyond ordinary reality and perceptions, also symbolic sites that are considered mythological or legends, such as Shambala or other areas.
How to Develop Dreaming as Spiritual Awakening Experience And Why Accessing Our Dreams in Invaluable
When we have tools that interface with our neurological, mental, emotional, and spiritual areas that develop and anchor them, including all the systems mentioned above, we integrate changes that assist us in understanding, and prepare all of our systems for further neurogenesis, expansion in our physical body, mind and emotions, and connection with our spiritual wisdom. As an ongoing spiritual awakening journey the practices are for the consistent upward spiral of healing, releasing, growth, and development upleveling of our evolution not as a one-time experience but on-going by our continued choices and practices. There is an exponential ability to develop and go beyond that develops and carries over into dreams and all levels of consciousness. Practices that connect us to these domains deepen over time, heal trauma, and create inner resonance and evolution.
